Butterfly Theme Party Ideas
|

-
Plan to mail your invitations 2-3 weeks prior to your event. When you mail your invites make sure to use the birthday party confetti in your invitations. Use your butterfly stickers to close and decorate your invites. This is a project you can trust your little one to help with so they will feel a part of the planning. My boys love have always loved helping with their invites.
-
Host your party in your back yard or in a local park. The equipment will help keep everyone busy.
-
-
No matter where you host, create a picnic with blankets and serve out of a picnic basket.
-
-
Create bumble bee cupcakes using both a regular size and mini cupcake. Frost with yellow frosting and use black gel frosting to create the stripes. Bake a cake in a 9X13 pan and make a purple butterfly. Decorate with candy or butterfly ringtoppers!
-
Other birthday cake ideas: Use two round pans and create a lady bug spotted cake with red frosting and black spots. Line up cupcakes and create a caterpillar with the cupcakes. Use licorice as the legs.
-
Use potato sacks to host potato sack races! The kids will have a ball having relay races with these fun bags.
-
Use pipe cleaners and pom-poms to let the kids create their own bugs.
-
Use your balloons and have races where your guests have to run holding their balloon between their knees.
-
-
If you host your party at a park create an obstacle course with the equipment.
-
Create a game of pin the spots on the ladybug. Just use a white poster and draw a butterfly. Use black pom-poms as the spots.
-
Play a game of hide the treat bags! Hide all your guests treat bags and have the guest hunt for their treat bag. One bag per guest! Once they locate they can help the others.
-
Give the kids bug nets and see what they catch! A little squeamish....put out some plastic bugs(our nets have some included) or treats (like our gummy bugs!) for the kids to catch.
-
Decorate tote bags for the girls to take home their goodies in.
-
Make balloon animals with our balloon making kit .
-
Sing happy birthday and light your candles. Let your child blow them out.
-
Let your child open their presents.
-
Serve your birthday cake.
-
Most of all have fun and take loads of pictures!
